Where the card data comes from

The catalogue (names, numbers, rarities, text) comes from TCGdex, a community database under the MIT licence, not affiliated with the rights holders. Reference images come from TCGdex and, for the cards TCGdex does not cover, from other public archives. Indicative prices derive from the Cardmarket price guide, via TCGdex, and are provided for information only: they are neither an offer nor a valuation.

What data the app handles

Your cards. The collection lives on the device. If you turn on sync in the settings, it is copied to our server so you can find it again on another phone.
Account. With sync on we keep an e-mail address and an encrypted password, or an anonymous Apple identifier. With Apple we ask for neither name nor e-mail.
Scan photos. Recognition happens on the phone. When it is not sure about a card, the app sends the photo to our server for a second check: the photo is analysed and deleted immediately, without being kept. Photos are kept only if you yourself turn on the “Send photos to improve recognition” switch in the settings, which is off by default, and they serve only to improve recognition.
Anonymous error data. To notice when the app gets something wrong or gets stuck, it sends anonymous information to our server: the message of an error, how many cards a scan recognised and how long it took, how many you corrected. No photos, no card names, no collection or account data, no device identifier: there is no way to link this data to a person. We delete it after 90 days. You can turn it off in the settings (“Send anonymous error data”).
No ads, no tracking, no sharing with third parties.

Deletion

From the app settings you can turn off sync and delete the account together with the data on the server. The collection on the device remains yours and is removed by uninstalling the app.
